This policy explains what information License Tool (https://licensetool.dyndir.com), operated by Dynamic Directional Engineering LLC, collects and how it is used.

Information we collect

• Account information: names, email addresses, company details and encrypted passwords of vendors, their team members, resellers and customers who use a store's customer portal.
• Purchase information: what was bought, prices, order and license records, and the buyer's email address. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and are never received or stored by us.
• License activation information sent by the vendor's software: a one-way hashed identifier of the computer, the computer's name, operating system and version, application version, IP address and the country derived from it.
• Technical information: IP addresses and request logs used for security and rate limiting.

How we use it

We use this information to provide the service: to activate and verify licenses, process payments and payouts, send license keys and account emails, show vendors analytics about their own products, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• The vendor whose software or store you use: vendors see their own customers, orders, licenses and activations.
• Stripe, which processes payments and payouts under its own privacy policy.
• Our hosting and email providers, only as needed to run the service.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Retention

We keep account, order and license records for as long as the account exists and as required for tax and accounting purposes. Detailed activity records used for analytics are deleted or aggregated after a limited period.

Security

Passwords are hashed, license keys and signing keys are encrypted, and all traffic uses HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices

You can update your account information at any time and ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing us. If you bought software from a vendor, you can also contact that vendor, who controls your purchase records.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page.
